Mitigation of Oscillations in Three Phase <i>LCL</i>-Filtered Grid Converters Based on Proportional Resonance and Improved Model Predictive Control

For three phase LCL -filtered gird converters, this paper designs a robust control strategy to reduce high frequency and subsynchronous or supersynchronous oscillations. Two components, namely the grid side inductor component xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">LC filter component, constitute converter. Model predictive (MPC) with disturbance observer is used interconnection voltage of filter. Proportional resonance (PR) regulates current. It possible combine MPC PR's advantages. The dynamic performance enhanced by MPC's intrinsic ability achieve active damping without extra modulation latency. In addition achieving zero steady state error, PR greatly simplifies process when compared overall entire By analyzing response transfer function output impedance, it determine that proposed has sufficient margin that, even system parameters change, converters’ impedance always resistive inductive at frequency, suppressing To further oscillations harmonics, an improved framework feedback compensation mechanism are proposed. effectiveness reliability in current tracking, harmonic suppression, variations verified comparative analysis simulation results.
